Fleet #1 2001 Final Series Standings
The following standings are supplied by Fleet Scorer David Owen. If you find any discrepancy or have any questions about a result or standing, please contact David directly and he will communicate any change to the Web Master. Since the process for calculating standings through the course of the season is too complex to represent here, we encourage competing skippers to obtain a copy of the 2001 Season Series Excel spreadsheet prepared by the Fleet Scorer.

The Big Boat Series was cancelled, leaving us with the season standings as they were after the NOOD. As only one point separates the top two boats, I have rechecked the individual race results to be sure there are no errors. Everything seems to be in order with the exception of the3d race of J/Fest. I reported the discrepancy to Matt Jones at the time, but the EYC did not made the change to the results on their web site. However, I have run the calculation with both results and I’m pleased to say that there is no difference in the season standings.

So congratulations to Good Timin’ for winning the J/105 Fleet #1 Season Championship for the second consecutive year. Sails Call was again the runner up, but by the closest possible margin. Newcomers to the top 10 were Wind Dance in 3d, Nantucket Sleighride in 4th, Zuni Bear in 7th and Arbitrage in 9th. Jitterbug, Bella Rosa, Juxtapose and Blackhawk also held onto their top 10 slots.
